Jon Favreau’s live action adventure, ‘The Jungle Book‘ is
unstoppable and has received an overwhelming response from Indian audience. As
far as Hollywood films are concerned in India, ‘The Jungle Book’ is the record
breaker and has set a record for the highest weekend with a total of Rs 40
crore net (400 million) at the Box Office.
The film, which was discharged on Friday, 8th April, had a good start in
India and has earned a big stake at the Box office over the weekend. The film
has set another highest collection record in a single day for a Hollywood
release in India as it collected Rs 16.50 crore net (165 million) on Sunday.
The every day collection of the film has been huge with
its amazing storyline; the film has minted Rs 10 crore net (100 million) on
Friday, Rs 13.50 crore net (135 million) on Saturday and Rs 16.50 crore net
(165 million) on Sunday.
Despite three days collection, it can be easily assumed
that ‘The Jungle Book‘ will be a blockbuster hit in India as even the
contribution for the dubbed version is around half, which has led to the
advantage of the film. The dubbed versions of the film are doing well than the
English version, which will eventually increase the business of the film over
the coming days.
Directed by Jon Favreau, written by Justin Marks and
produced by Walt Disney, the film stars Neel Sethi as Mowgli and is said to be
one of the first movies that one remembers watching the film as a kid. ‘The
Jungle Book‘ has left a huge impact on everyone with its reinvented strong
storyline and the most important factor of the film is that it has targeted
kids to adults and everyone. It’s one of the most beautiful movies that have
come out of the studio this year.
